Submission of Online Scholarship applications under Centrally Sponsored Scheme Pre- Matric Scholarship to ST students for the Academic Year 2024-25
The Government of Jammu & Kashmir has announced the submission of online applications for the Centrally Sponsored Scheme "Pre-Matric Scholarship to ST Students for 9th & 10th Class" for the academic year 2024-25.
Key Dates:
Application Submission: December 7, 2024 – January 7, 2025
Institutional Verification: December 7, 2024 – January 7, 2025
District Verification: December 7, 2024 – January 7, 2025
Eligibility Criteria:
Domicile: Must be a domicile of Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory with a valid domicile certificate.
Scheduled Tribe Status: Must belong to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category with a valid ST certificate.
Educational Institution: Must be studying in Class 9 or 10 in a Government or Government- recognized school with valid AISHE/U-DISE/NCVT/SCVT codes.
Family Income: Annual family income should not exceed ₹2.5 lakh for the fiscal year 2023-24.
Bank Account: Must have an active bank account in a scheduled bank, linked with Aadhaar and a mobile number.
Aadhaar Requirement: Aadhaar seeding with the bank account is mandatory for One Time Registration (OTR) and payment.
Other Scholarships: Should not be receiving any other scholarship.
Application Process:One Time Registration (OTR):
Application Submission:
Visit the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) at scholarships.gov.in.
Register using the OTR number and complete the scholarship application.
Document Upload:
1. Aadhaar Number
2. Scanned copy of Original Domicile Certificate
3. Scanned copy of Original ST Certificate
4. Scanned copy of Original Income Certificate
5. Bank Account Details (Account Number, IFSC Code, Branch)
Submission of Hard Copy:
After online submission, provide a hard copy of the application along with requisite documents to the Head of the concerned Institution/Institutional Nodal Officer (INO) within a week.
