The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has released a notification inviting applications for 575 Lecturer posts in the School Education Department of J&K. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Lecturer Post: Master’s Degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university.  

• Age Limit (as of January 1, 2024)  

• Open Merit: Born between January 1, 1984, and January 1, 2006.  

• Reserved Categories: Born between January 1, 1981, and January 1, 2006.  

• In-Service Candidates: Same as Open Merit.  

• Physically Handicapped: Born between January 1, 1982, and January 1, 2006.  

Candidates must hold a valid domicile certificate for J&K.  

Reservation Details

Out of the total vacancies, reserved posts are distributed as follows:  

• Open Merit (OM): 238  

• Residents of Backward Areas (RBA): 53  

• Scheduled Castes (SC): 51  

• Scheduled Tribes (ST): 117  

• Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 48  

• Others: Refer official notification.  

How to Apply

1. Visit the official website jkpsc.nic.in.  

2. Complete the One Time Registration (OTR) if not already done.  

3. Fill out the online application form starting December 10, 2024.  

4. Upload required documents:  

• Date of Birth Certificate  

• Domicile Certificate  

• Master’s Degree Certificate and Marksheet  

• Category Certificate (if applicable)  

5. Pay the application fee:  

• General: ₹1200  

• Reserved Categories: ₹700 

• PHC Candidates: No Fee  

6. Submit the application before January 9, 2025.  

Selection Process

The recruitment process includes:  

1. Written Examination: Date to be announced.  

2. Document Verification.
