UGC NET June 2024: NTA announces re-exam schedule
The UGC NET is conducted twice every year for a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), appointment as an assistant professor, and admission to PhD programmes in Indian universities and colleges.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the schedule for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) 2024 for the June session. Candidates can check the schedule from the official website of UGC NET — ugcnet.nta.ac.in. According to the notice, the UGC NET June 2024 exam will be re-conducted between August 21 and September 4 in the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
The notification regarding intimation of the city of exam centre will be displayed on NTA website(s) ugcnet.nta.ac.in and nta.ac.in, 10 days before the exam.
Earlier, the exam was conducted in pen and paper format on June 18 and in two shifts. The timings for the first shift were from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm while the second shift started from 3:00 pm till 6:00 pm.
The UGC NET June 2024 allegedly got ‘cancelled’ a day after its conduction because of paper leakage charges. The test was conducted in 317 cities from all over India and over 9 lakhs of candidates participated in it.
