JKSSB Releases Revised Waiting List for Accounts Assistant Posts in Finance Department
The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has announced the revised waiting list for the posts of Accounts Assistant in the Finance Department, UT Cadre. These posts were initially advertised under Notification No. 04 of 2020, dated December 16, 2020, under Item No. 106.
Background and Details
The Finance Department requested direct recruitment for 972 Accounts Assistant positions through Indent No. FD/Coord/08/2020, dated November 19, 2020. These posts, categorized under Level-5 (29200-92300), were advertised by JKSSB in December 2020. The written examination was conducted on January 28, 2024, followed by the final selection list, which was notified on March 10, 2024.
Revised Waiting List
The Selection Committee initially prepared the waiting list based on candidates' merit and eligibility. However, it was later observed that the tie-breaker rule was not applied correctly in the case of candidates with the same score in the OM category. Consequently, the waiting list has been revised to include the tie-breaker rule, resulting in changes where three candidates moved out of consideration, making way for new candidates.
Important Notifications
1. Court Outcomes: The waiting list is subject to the outcome of any OAs/Writ Petitions pending before competent courts.
2. Pending Enquiries: The list is also subject to the outcome of any ongoing inquiries involving candidates on the list.
3. Formal Recommendations: Recommendations to the concerned Indenting Department will be forwarded separately.
4. Withheld Recommendations: Candidates whose recommendations are withheld must submit the required documents within one month.
5. Verification of Information: The selection is based on self-declared information and certificates. Any falsification or use of fake documents will result in cancellation of selection at any stage.
