JKBOSE Essay Writing Competition 2024: Open for Class 6th to 12th Students

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) is proud to announce an exciting opportunity for students in Classes 6th to 12th. The Essay Writing Competition, focusing on various themes of Adolescence Education Program (AEP) and School Health and Wellness Program (SHWP), promises to be an enriching experience for all participants. Event Details:

Name: Essay Writing Competition on various AEP & SHWP themes.

Target Group: Students from Classes 6th to 12th, divided into two categories:

• Middle stage: 6th to 8th class students.

• Secondary stage: 9th to 12th class students.

Themes of Essay Writing Competition:

• Growing up healthy

• Emotional well-being and mental health

• Interpersonal relationships

• Value and responsible citizenship

• Nutrition, health, and sanitation

• Gender equality

• Prevention and management of substance misuse

• Promotion of healthy lifestyle

• Reproductive health and HIV prevention

• Promotion of safe use of internet, gadgets, and media

• Safety and security against violence and injuries.

Mode of Conduct: e-mode.

Maximum Words: 1,000 words.

Language: English.

Timeline: Submission deadline - 26th March, 2024.

Guidelines for Participation:

1. Participants from both government and private schools affiliated to JKBOSE can participate by submitting essays via email.

2. Entries should be sent to aepjkbose@gmail.com in PDF or Word document format.

3. Students in Classes 6th to 8th can participate in the Middle Stage category, while Classes 9th to 12th can participate in the Secondary Stage category.

4. Entries must be submitted through the official school email-id, duly signed by the Head of Institution (HOI), by the deadline.

5. To maintain confidentiality, student details and bank passbook copies should be attached separately.

6. Identity-revealing information inside the essay will lead to disqualification.

Prize Details:

Middle Category:

• 1st Prize: Rs. 2,000
•  2nd Prize: Rs. 1,500
•  3rd Prize: Rs. 1,000

• 3 Consolation Prizes: Rs. 500 each

Secondary Category:

• 1st Prize: Rs. 2,000

• 2nd Prize: Rs. 1,500

• 3rd Prize: Rs. 1,000

• 3 Consolation Prizes: Rs. 500 each
