Jammu and Kashmir: Massive Administrative Reshuffle; 208 KAS Officers Transferred in J&K, Check List
In a recent update, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir’s General Administration Department (Services) has implemented Government Order No. 561-JK(GAD) of 2024 dated 31.01.2024, introducing several transfers and postings with the goal of improving administrative efficiency.
This reshuffling impacts civil servants in different departments across the region. Notable changes include the reassignment of Mr. Saleem Ahmad from Collector for Land Acquisition in Rajouri to Deputy District Election Officer in Poonch, replacing Mr. Gurpinder Singh.
Likewise, Mr. Nisar Ahmad Shad, previously Deputy Secretary in the Labour and Employment Department, has moved to the Skill Development Department in the same role.
Additionally, Mr. Deepak Dubey, former Sub-Divisional Magistrate in Katra, now serves as Deputy Director (Audio-Visual) in the Directorate of Information, J&K, replacing Mr. Dharam Pal.
Another significant shift involves Mr. Pardeep Kumar, transitioning from Assistant Commissioner Panchayat in Reasi to Project Officer for Wage Employment (ACD) in the same district, while retaining his role as Assistant Commissioner Panchayat.
Furthermore, Mr. Anirudh Rai, previously Project Officer for Wage Employment (ACD) in Reasi, has taken on the role of Deputy District Election Officer in Udhampur.
In addressing pending orders of adjustment, Ms. Bureeda Majid, formerly awaiting orders in the Social Welfare Department, is now posted as Project Officer for Wage Employment (ACD) in Budgam, replacing Ms. Nuzhat Khurshid.
Similarly, Ms. Naeem-ul-Nisa, awaiting orders of adjustment in the General Administration Department, has been appointed as Project Manager for IWMP in Poonch, replacing Mr. Israr Ahmad.
Moreover, Mr. Javed Iqbal, previously Deputy Director in the Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs Department in Jammu, has been transferred to the Health and Medical Education Department as Deputy Secretary to the Government, replacing Mr. Sanjeev Sharma.
Finally, Ms. Preeti Sharma, formerly Project Officer for Wage Employment (ACD) in Jammu, now serves as Assistant Commissioner for State Taxes.
These changes take immediate effect, reflecting the government's strategic effort to streamline administrative functions in Jammu and Kashmir.
