JKSSB Final Selection List Released for 1,200 Sub-Inspector Positions in Home Department
Srinagar, Jan 08: The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) Sub Inspector Final Selection List 2024 Released –
The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has unveiled the conclusive selection list for the recruitment of Sub-Inspectors in the Police (Home Department), UT Cadre. This comes after an exhaustive selection process encompassing a Computer Based Written Test (CBT), Physical Standard Test (PST)/Physical Endurance Test (PET), and Document Verification.
Overview of the Selection Process:
Initiated with Notification No. 06 of 2021 on October 21, 2021, the recruitment journey involved a Written Test, PST/PET, with additional credit for candidates holding NCC Certificates. The CBT occurred from December 7 to December 20, 2022, and results were declared through Notification No. JKSSB COEOEXAM(UT)/54/2022-03 on November 3, 2023. Shortlisted candidates underwent subsequent rounds in Jammu and Srinagar.
Formation of the Selection Committee:
A Selection Committee, established through Office Order No. 323-SSB of 2023 on December 22, 2023, oversaw the finalization process, incorporating Horizontal Reservation for 72 Ex-Servicemen (ESM). Persons with Disabilities were deemed ineligible for these specific posts.

Approval of Provisional Selection List:
Presented during the Board's 251st Meeting on December 29, 2023, the Provisional Selection List gained approval and was officially published through No. JKSSB-Scry/26/2023-03(E-7376857) on December 29, 2024. Candidates were given the opportunity for medical examination and objections within five days.
Addressing Representations and Finalizing the Selection:
The Selection Committee, considering candidates' representations, medical reports, and regulations, crafted the Final Selection List. The Board ratified this list in its 254th Meeting on January 8, 2024.
This announcement signifies the culmination of a transparent recruitment process by JKSSB for Sub-Inspector positions.
