JKSSB Finalizes Selection for Driver and Tractor Driver Posts
The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has issued the final selection list for various driver positions, including Driver, Driver-I, Driver-II, and Tractor Driver. This follows a meticulous process involving advertisement notifications, driving tests, computer-based written tests, and preferences submission.
The recruitment drive, initially advertised through Notification Nos. 04, 05, 06 & 07 of 2020 and 01, 02 & 03 of 2021, aimed to fill 298 posts across 17 departments. Candidates underwent a driving test initially and later a computer-based written test, which led to the formulation of a provisional selection list. Subsequently, a Selection Committee was constituted to finalize the selection based on merit-cum-preference and compliance with rules and regulations.
After addressing objections, the Final Selection List was approved in the 249th meeting of the Board. The candidates are advised to check the list, which is subject to the outcome of any pending court cases and inquiries. Those with withheld recommendations must submit the required documents within one month from the notification date. The selection is contingent upon the veracity of the information submitted by candidates; any false information may lead to selection cancellation.
