Govt announces winter vacations for Degree Colleges of J&K in phased manner from Dec-27
Srinagar: In a recent development, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir, under the directive of the Director Colleges, J&K, has issued a formal communication regarding the winter vacation schedule for Government Degree Colleges across the Union Territory. This announcement comes through Government Order No: 390-JK (HE) of 2023, dated 21-12-2023.
According to the order, all Government Degree Colleges in Jammu & Kashmir will adhere to the winter vacation schedule outlined below:
1. Kashmir Division Colleges: Winter vacation begins from 27th December 2023 and extends until 14th February 2024.
2. Jammu Division (Winter Zone) Colleges: The winter break for colleges falling under the Winter Zone in Jammu Division starts from 27th December 2023 and concludes on 14th February 2024.
3. Jammu Division (Summer Zone) Colleges: For colleges falling under the Summer Zone in Jammu Division, the winter vacation spans from 1st January 2024 to 10th January 2024.
This announcement ensures that students and faculty can plan their winter activities accordingly, and the break aligns with the seasonal norms of the respective divisions.
