Kashmir University Selection Notification No. 13 of 2023: PG Programmes/Courses (Non-Professional and Professional)
The Kashmir University has recently issued a selection notification, designated as Notification No. 13 of 2023, announcing the provisional selections for PG Programmes/Courses, both Professional and Non-Professional, across various campuses and affiliated colleges. This selection is based on merit and the candidates' preferences indicated during counseling sessions.
Crucial Clarifications:
To address vacant seats resulting from candidates not completing admission formalities, the university has selected certain candidates provisionally for admission to PG and other programs/courses, be they Professional or Non-Professional. These programs are available at the Main Campus, University of Kashmir, North Campus (Baramulla), South Campus (Anantnag), and Government/Private affiliated colleges. The selection is based on the merit achieved by candidates in the Kashmir University Entrance Test-2023 and their counseling preferences.
Important Reminders:
The selection process entails several key considerations:
1. Heads, Directors, Coordinators, and Principals of the concerned Departments/Institutes/Centres/Campuses/affiliated Colleges, who chair Departmental Admission Committees, must verify that the selected candidates meet the minimum required eligibility criteria. This includes having passed the qualifying examination and possessing valid category certificates, if applicable, issued on or before 10th May 2023. No authority slip will be issued to candidates possessing certificates issued after this date.
2. The admission of selected candidates is contingent upon various factors, including the production of original documents like marks cards of qualifying examinations, domicile certificates, character certificates, and valid Reserved Category certificates (if applicable). Additionally, eligibility cum revival of registration/migration forms and other relevant documents must be produced.
3. Candidates must secure clearance from the Academic Section if they have qualified from private or affiliated Universities/Institutions. NOC is required from the concerned Department for in-service candidates.
4. An affidavit, sworn before a 1st Class Judicial/Executive Magistrate, stating various commitments and undertakings, such as adherence to university regulations and consequences of misinformation or indiscipline, is a prerequisite for admission.
Admission Process:
Provisionally selected candidates need to download their online Admission Forms from the official University of Kashmir website. Subsequently, they must approach the Heads/Directors of the respective Departments/Institutes/Centres for obtaining the authority slip before depositing the required Admission Fee.
The fee, along with relevant original certificates and self-attested Xerox copies of documents, must be submitted to the respective Departments/Institutions' office.
Important Dates and Procedures:
Candidates are reminded that fee payment will be accepted only at any FINACLE branch of J&K Bank upon presenting the authority slip from the respective Head/Director/Coordinator/Principal. Candidates failing to complete admission formalities by 29th August 2023 will forfeit their admission rights, and any resultant vacancies will be filled from the waiting list.
Heads, Directors, and Principals are urged to submit vacancy lists by 05:15 PM on the last date of admission formalities. All notifications will be exclusively available on the University's official website, with no notices published in print media.
