Kashmir University PG Distance Mode Admission: Updated Selection Notification for Session 2023


The University of Kashmir has recently released an updated selection notification (No 1) for PG programmes offered through the Distance Mode for the session 2023. The selection has been made purely based on the academic percentages obtained by the candidates in their qualifying examinations.


Important Note:

Candidates whose names are listed in the notification need to fulfill the following criteria:
  • - Possess the minimum required eligibility.
  • - Have passed their qualifying examination or possess a valid category certificate (if selected under any reserved category) issued on or before 31-07-2023. This verification will be done through original documents/certificates.


Admission Criteria:

Selected candidates need to fulfill the following criteria for admission:

1. Present all relevant original documents, including Marks Cards of the qualifying examination, Domicile Certificate, Character and Provisional certificates of the last attended institution, valid Reserved Category certificate (if applicable), and Migration Certificate.

2. Submit eligibility cum revival of registration/migration form (if applicable) along with the prescribed fee.

3. Meet the minimum required eligibility conditions as verified by the concerned Department.

4. Obtain clearance from the Academic Section if the qualifying examination was from a private/affiliated University/Institution.

5. Submit an affidavit before a 1st Class Judicial Magistrate, affirming various aspects including adherence to University rules and regulations.


Admission Procedure:

Provisionally selected candidates can download their online Admission Forms from the official website of the University (www.kashmiruniversity.net) using their Application Form No. Before depositing the required Admission Fee, candidates must visit the Directorate of Distance Education, University of Kashmir, along with relevant original certificates and self-attested Xerox copies, to obtain an authority slip for fee deposition. The fee needs to be deposited at any FINACLE branch of J&K Bank, accompanied by the authority slip. The completed admission form, fee receipt, and related documents should be submitted to the respective Directorate's office by or before 21-08-2023. Failure to complete admission formalities by this date will result in forfeiture of admission rights.
