JKBOPEE Second Round Counseling 2023: MBBS/BDS Upgradation/Allotment in Government/Private Medical Colleges of UT J&K
The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) has announced the commencement of the Second Round of Counseling (Physical) for the Upgradation and Allotment of seats in MBBS/BDS/DDH/DDM Courses - 2023 in the Government/Private Medical/Dental Colleges of UT of J&K. This counseling is inclusive of seats falling under the Hindu Minority & NRI Quota in ASCOMS, Jammu. The initiative follows the guidelines set by Notification No. 057-BOPEE of 2023 dated 11.08.2023.
Considering the shortfall of seats in the MBBS/BDS courses across various Government/Private Medical/Dental Colleges in UT of J&K, the Board aims to fill these vacancies through the Second Round of Counseling. This includes seats that remained unfilled and those that became available due to the resignations of previously selected candidates.
The Second Round of (Physical) Upgradation/Allotment counseling has been scheduled as follows:
1. 28-08-2023: Rank 001-1000, All candidates including Reserved category/HM/NRI.
2. 29-08-2023: Rank 1001-2200, All candidates including Reserved category/HM/NRI.
3. 30-08-2023: Rank 2201-3862, All candidates including Reserved category/HM/NRI.
Here are some key procedures and points to note for the Second Upgradation/Allotment Round of Physical Counseling:
1. Eligible candidates should register at the BOPEE offices in Jammu or Srinagar for attendance and other formalities between 8.30 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. on the respective day of counseling.
2. Candidates are advised to check the Seat Matrix available on the official website of the Board before attending the counseling.
3. Candidates who were allotted seats during the First Round of Online Counseling can participate in the Second Round for upgradation, provided they present the fee deposition receipt of the allotted College at the time of registration.
4. Candidates who have opted for C.N.A./S.N.A. are also eligible for the Second Round of physical counseling.
5. Candidates who were unable to participate in the First Round of online counseling but have their names in the updated UT Merit List (Notification No. 048-BOPEE of 2023) can participate in the Second Round, provided they deposit the counseling fee of Rs.1500/- on the day of counseling.
6. Candidates who were allotted seats during the First Round of counseling but didn't join against the allotted seat/College are not eligible for the Second Round.
7. Candidates participating in the Second Round are advised to remain present as seats of their choice may become available during the process, allowing them to claim such seats immediately.
8. Special considerations have been outlined for the filling of 29 MBBS seats and 03 BDS seats in CDP category during the Second Round of Counseling.
