JKBOPEE Second Round Counseling 2023: B.E./B.Tech. Engineering Courses Upgradation/Allotment

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination (JKBOPEE) is set to conduct the Second Round of Physical Counseling for upgradation and allotment of seats in B.E./B.Tech. Engineering Courses for the year 2023. This move comes in response to the shortfall of seats reported by various Government and Private Engineering Colleges of UT of J&K/Ladakh, as indicated in Notification No. 051-BOPEE of 2023 dated 07.08.2023.

Candidates who aspire to secure admission to these coveted Engineering programs now have another chance to do so. The Second Round of Physical Upgradation/Allotment counseling is scheduled to take place on the following dates:

1. 23rd August 2023: For candidates with ranks 001-500, including reserved categories.

2. 24th August 2023: For candidates with ranks 501-1000, including reserved categories.

3. 25th August 2023: For candidates with ranks 1001-1472, including reserved categories.

The process and guidelines for the Second Round of Physical Counseling are as follows:

1. Eligible candidates must report to the BOPEE offices in Jammu or Srinagar for Registration, Attendance, and other formalities between 8.30 a.m. and 10.00 a.m. on their respective counseling day/date.

2. Candidates who have already been allotted a seat of their choice and have successfully joined need not attend this round.

3. Those who have joined the allotted seat during the First Round of Counseling and wish to upgrade their seat can participate in this round, provided they present the fee deposition receipt of the allotted college during Registration/Attendance.

4. Candidates who opted for C.N.A. / S.N.A. or could not attend previous counseling due to unavoidable circumstances are eligible for this Second Round of Physical Counseling.

5. Candidates who were allotted a seat in the First Round of counseling but did not join will not be eligible for this round.

6. Participants are advised to remain present throughout the counseling process as vacant seats may become available, giving them an opportunity to stake a claim on a preferred seat.

7. The Board holds the right to make changes in response to technical difficulties or unforeseen circumstances.

As part of the preparation, the Board will upload a separate seat matrix before the counseling process begins. Candidates are advised to review the seat matrix before participating in the counseling.
