DIET organises zonal level FLN-TLM mela in Leh and Kharu
Leh, July 12: District Institute of Education and Learning (DIET) Leh organised a zonal level Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) and Teaching Learning Materials (TLM) Mela in both Leh and Kharu zone.
CEO Leh, SD Namgial graced the event as chief guest, and ZEO, Rigzin Angmo as a guest of honor at Leh zone while at Kharu zone, Deputy Chief Education Officer, Khalida Parveen graced the occasion as chief guest.
A total of 71 schools participated in the mela - 41 schools from Leh zone and 30 schools from Kharu zone. Besides government schools, this year witnessed the participation of private schools of Leh and Kharu zone also.
Additionally, it was also informed that improvements were also witnessed in the areas of innovative pedagogies amongst the teachers of different participating schools.
Primary School Skara Yokma, Moravian Mission School Leh, and Middle School Gangles displayed creativity and innovative ideas during the event.
Primary School Lanker Igoo bagged the first position, High School Gya bagged second position, while Middle School Taknak bagged third position in the Kharu Zone.
Accordingly, Middle School Gangles took the first position, Primary School Skara Yokma holds second position and Primary School Saboo Phu holds third position in Leh Zone.
Participants from different schools shared their experiences and use of Teaching Learning Material (TLM) in their schools at the valedictory session.
