JKBOSE seeks enrollment data of classes 1st to 8th of private schools to get new ‘Hindi’ and ‘Urdu’ textbooks
Srinagar, Jun 21: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has sought enrollment data of classes 1st to 8th of all private schools to get new ‘Hindi’ and ‘Urdu’ textbooks from the upcoming academic session.
JKBOSE said this in a requisition letter sent to all private schools.
According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the board official said that in a previous communique that was issued for the implementation of JKBOSE textbooks by all private schools across the UT of JK for classes 6th to 8th in the first phase.
“As per the communication of JKBOSE, now in the second phase, all private schools have to prescribe textbooks published by JKBOSE for all the classes from 1st onwards,” it reads.
JKBOSE said that in order to get the textbooks printed for next session (March 2024-25) as per the requirement for timely availability of these textbooks in the market, “Private schools are requested to provide Zone-wise and Class-wise enrollment data for classes 1st to 8th of all private schools under their respective jurisdiction with bifurcation for number of students opting for ‘Hindi’ or ‘Urdu’ as per the prescribed formats.”
It also said that the information, duly authenticated, should reach JKBOSE by or before June-24—(KNO)
