Jammu, May 18: Following the directions of Administrative Department of School Education Department, the new Director School Education Jammu Ashok Kumar Sharma has constituted a Media Cell to look into complaints in print and electronic media on various issues and will submit the weekly report.
The newly Media Cell which will look into the complaint or news being published or aired on news paper and channel, comprise of Joint Director (JKS Range) in-charge of Cell; Personal Officer DSEJ – Member; Chief Accounts Officer DSEJ – Member; and Deputy Director Planning DSEJ – Member.
The Media Cell will surely look into various issues like fee hike/overcharging by private schools, prescribing text books of particular private publishers, fake appointment, fake degrees etc. The Media Cell constituted by DSEJ by Order No 1042-DSEJ of 2023 dated 17-05-2023 and with reference to Administrative Department’s letter No Edu-NGJ/287/2023-01 dated 25-04-2023.
There were reports that there are some persons (both male and female) have managed their jobs as teacher in School Education Department under the RET scheme, particularly in three Zones of Jammu districts RS Pura, Satwari and Akhnoor, on the basis of degrees of higher education including graduation and post graduation acquired from the invalid and unrecognized Universities that too outside from the J&K. These people have cheated the department, law of land, government and above all they have deceived the students for whom they were appointed.
The degrees from the invalid or unrecognized Universities particularly from outside the Jammu & Kashmir must be re-verified by the government and the government must re-verify itself and should not assigned to the candidate to obtain the certificate of genuineness from the concerned Universities.
The committee members first identify those teachers who have got job in school Education Department under RET by producing degrees (graduation or post graduation) from all those Universities outside of J&K.
Then the government itself contract to their counterparts to verify the genuineness of the produced degrees, which will expose everything. Moreover, some of the candidates have acquired the degrees outside the J&K could not explain a little bit about the subject in which they have acquired the degree.
Moreover the certificates acquired from NOS should be re-verified to check the genuineness so that all those teachers may be sacked who have produced wrong/fake certificates and all those candidates be appointed who have applied then but could not be appointed due these fake persons. If such candidates found the government must take strict against them by sending them in jail and should recover the entire amount with interest which they have taken in the shape of salary till now.
