Heatwave in India: Schools closed, school timings changed in these states

DELHI
In light of the heatwave predictions, the Delhi government has issued guidelines for schools, stating that afternoon assemblies will not be conducted due to the detrimental effects of high temperatures on the health of children and adolescents. Afternoon assemblies will also not be conducted due to the heatwave.
ODISHA
In Odisha, schools have reopened and will run until 11 am, following an earlier directive to follow morning school timings. The revised timings for schools and colleges in Odisha are now 6:30 am to 11 am. Earlier it was from 7:15 am to 11 am.
TRIPURA
Tripura CM Manik Shah on Monday announced the decision to close all government schools from April 18 to 23 due to the heatwave.
WEST BENGAL
West Bengal has ordered the closure of all state-run and private schools, except those in hilly areas (Darjeeling and Kalimpong), until April 24
PATNA
Patna schools will be closed after 10:45 am from April 19 onwards due to the ongoing heatwave. Earlier, school timings in Patna had been changed from 7 am to 1 pm to 6:30 am to 11:30 am due to the increasing temperatures.
JHARKHAND
According to the new schedule for Jharkhand schools, classes for students up to Class 5 will now take place between 7 am to 11 am. On the other hand, classes for students from Class 6 to 12 will continue until 12 pm.
