Meet Azhar Uddin: A youth from Anantnag who published his second book
Anantnag, Mar 30: A youth from South Kashmir's Anantnag district has published his second poetry book titled "Sada-e-Dil". Azhar Uddin Wani (32), a resident of the historical Aishmuqam area of Anantnag district who is currently working as teacher in a private school has published his first poetry book titled "Aatish-e-Dil" in 2021.
Wani, who is using his pen name 'Yaas Muqami' while talking to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said that he was inclined towards poetry since his childhood and started writing poetry when he was in class 12th.
He said: "I started writing poetry when I was in Class 12th but due to financial issues wasn't able to publish my work. I had to struggle a lot to continue my studies and whenever I was getting time to write on different things as well."
"After going through poetry of Iqbal, Faiz and Galib, it influenced me alot and I got more motivated in writing poetry on different things and published my first poetry book in 2021," he said.
"Though I wrote this book "Sade-e-Dil" from 2015-18 but due to financial constraints, I wasn't in a position to publish it, however, somehow I managed to publish this book this month only."
"I have touched different issues of our society besides the problems I was going through at that very time in this book," he said, adding that behind his writing there is the hand of some teachers, poets and relatives who always encourage him.
"My message to the youth will be that everyone is unique with some specialities but one must realize his strengths very early and put it to use," he said.
"Youth must also work and contribute in whatever way they can for the betterment of the society where we are living." He said: “I still continue my writing and my other two books are also near completion. They will be published soon.”—(KNO)
