Touqeer Ashraf on a Mission to Revive Kashmiri Language Through Social Media handle "Keashur Praw"
Srinagar: Touqeer Ashraf, Son of Mohammad Ashraf Ganai hailing from Goosu area of South Kashmir's Pulwama district. He has done his Bachelor of Science from Government Degree College (Boys), Pulwama and is a 21 years Sufi poetry Writer.
Toufeeq said that, I was writing from three years but recently I started writing "Kashmiri Sufi Poetry", and after writing it, I feel very much confident and relaxed.
“As I already said I was writing from three years, but in october 2021, I started a page on Instagram with the name of "KEASHUR PRAW", and started posting my content on it, within a short span of time I received good response from people,” he said.
“The literal meaning of term "Keashur Praw" is the enlightenment of Kashmiri language, and my message for youth of valley is "love your language love your identity”, he said.
My Inspiration for Sufi poetry is "Hazrat Sheikh Noor-ud-Din Noorani, Sheikh Ul Alam (RA)". His poetry has always helped me and has always guided me to live a better life”, he said. (KB)
