BGSBU Rajouri postpones examinations scheduled today
Islamic Welfare Organisation, others call for strike today against Rajouri killings
Srinagar, Jan 02 : Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) on Monday postponed the semester-end examinations scheduled on Monday.
“It is hereby notified for information of all the concerned that the University End Semester examinations scheduled for January 2, 2023 are hereby postponed. Fresh date shall be notified separately,” Controller examination, BGSBU, said in an order issued in this regard, a copy of which lies with the Kashmir Scroll.
Notably, five person were killed while over one dozen were injured in firing incident and blast in Rajouri since last 24 hours.
Meanwhile in wake of the Rajouri killings, Islamic Welfare Organisation called for a bandh on Monday against the union territory and central governments for their alleged failure in protecting innocent lives.
“Failure to protect innocent lives by the state and central government and killings of innocent in Dhangri Rajouri Islamic Welfare Organisation appeal all to observe Bandh today in solidarity with the families of those killed,” the organisation said in a statement.
It said that Tehreek Ghulam nae Mustafa Milaad Commitee and Anjuman Taajran has supported the call given by Islamic Welfare Organisation.—(KS)
