AMU STUDENT MISSING CASE : Boy Has Gone Somewhere On His Own, Teams On Job To Trace Him” : UP Police Official
Srinagar, Dec 10 : The family members and relatives of a student from Sopore, who reportedly went missing from Aligarh three days before, registered a protest on Saturday. They are seeking intervention of LG administration to trace their beloved.
Masroor Abbas Mir, a 10th standard student at AMU, of Bohripora Sopore, according to family, left for his school on Thursday morning, but went missing midway. “Despite making every effort and enquiring from his colleagues and school authorities, we haven’t found any clue about his whereabouts so far”, they as per GNS said, adding “a missing report has been registered in this regard in the police station concerned.”
The aggrieved family has in the meantime appealed to Lieutenant Governor led administration to intervene into the matter as to ensure safe return of their beloved.
A police official told GNS that the family has been assured of all possible help to trace the boy as soon as possible.
When contacted, an Uttar Pradesh police official told GNS that ‘the boy has gone somewhere on his own’. “We have checked the CCTV footage which suggests the movement of the boy near a railway station”, the official said. “It presumably seems he has gone somewhere on his own”, he said, adding, “we nevertheless have constituted several teams and they are on job to locate the boy at an earliest.” (GNS)
