JK govt increases 4% Dearness Allowance for govt employees
The government employees and pensioners will get Dearness Allowance at a hiked rate of 38 percent, with an increase of four percent to the existing rate, with effect from 1 July this year.
In a notification issues by the Finance Department (Codes Division) Civil Secretariat, Jammu Kashmir, the Dearness Allowance to Government employees has been revised rate effective from 01.07.2022.
“In continuation to government order no 113-F of 2022 (dated 20.04.2022), it is hereby ordered that Government employees working in regular pay levels under 7′ Pay Commission recommendations, shall be paid Dearness Allowance at 38 per cent against the basic pay revising the older rule of 34 percent,” the order read.
The term ‘Basic Pay’ in the revised pay structure means the pay drawn in the prescribed level in the pay matrix as per 7th Pay Commission recommendations, but does not include any other type of pay like special pay etc, the JK admin said.
The arrears on account of additional installment of Dearness Allowance with effect from July, 2022 shall be paid in cash in two equal installments (one in the month of November, 2022 and other in the month of December, 2022) and shall form part of salary from November, 2022 onwards.
“The payment on account of Dearness Allowance involving fractions of 50 paise and above may be rounded to the next higher rupee and the fractions of less than 50 paisa shall be ignored, concluded the order.
