Srinagar: The School Education Department (SED) Wednesday said that it will permit the students to continue their studies even if they fail to qualify the class 10th and 11th annual regular examinations.
Principal Secretary, School Education Department, Alok Kumar while issuing the official orders pertaining to implementation of Uniform Academic Calendar said, “Students who appear in Class 10th and 11th examinations shall be provisionally admitted in Class 11th and 12th respectively after conclusion of board examination.”
“Students, who are declared unsuccessful in the results, shall be permitted to continue their studies in Class 11th and 12th till the result of bi-annual, annual private examinations are declared,” Kumar said.
He said that in respect of the candidates who fail to pass in bi-annual examination, provisional admission shall be cancelled.
“JK Board of School Education shall restructure the examination schedule from Classes 10th to 12th. “Annual regular examination of Jammu division and Kashmir division excluding hard zones areas shall be held in the month of March,” reads the order.
It also reads, “Annual regular examination of hard zones and areas of Jammu division and Kashmir division and Union territory of Ladakh shall be held in the month of April.”
However, the result of the annual regular examination of Jammu division, Kashmir division including hard zones or areas and Union territory of Ladakh shall be declared in the month of June.
“Annual private and bi-annual examination in Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Union territory of Ladakh shall be held in the month of August and its result shall be declared in the month of October,” Kumar said.
The principal secretary also said that the JK Board of School Education shall issue a detailed examination schedule including schedule for submission of application form etc.
“JK Board of School Education shall notify the list of hard zones or difficult areas separately. The examination schedule shall be applicable with immediate effect from the current session,” it reads.
