JK Admin to rename 199 Educational institutes, Roads in Jammu Kashmir
The Manoj Sinha-led administration has announced the renaming of 199 schools/colleges and roads by the names of “eminent” personalities and the force personnel killed in the line of duty.
As per an official order, two schools have been named after a slain Dysp, 01 after a slain Inspector, 08 after SIs, 04 after ASIs, 07 after head constables, 21 after SgCts, 47 after constables, 03 after followers, and 41 after SPOs who died during the line of duty.
The Director General of Jammu Kashmir Police, Dilbag Singh has extended his gratitude to the Government of India, Lieutenant Governor Jammu Kashmir Manoj Sinha and his administration for renaming the government schools/colleges and roads in Jammu Kashmir after the deceased JK police personnel and CAPFs personnel.
The DGP said, “It is a wonderful initiative by the government which would serve as the morale booster for the forces fighting terrorism here. This initiative the school children would learn about the supreme sacrifices of the martyrs.”
He said that it would immortalize the “Bravehearts” who sacrificed their lives while protecting the sovereignty and integrity of the Nation.
He said that initiative would give some special feeling to the family members of the martyrs and would act as an everlasting tribute to the martyrs.
