J&K Bank's digital channels record over 9 million transactions worth Rs 1873 Crores
Customers across valley express satisfaction for haslefree Service
Srinagar, July 09 : J&K Bank's digital and alternate channels have recorded more than Nine million transactions amounting to whopping Rs 1873 Crores in the last 36 hours.
Speaking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), senior Bank’ official said that while they feel delighted in having successfully served lakhs of esteemed customers ahead of this auspicious Eid.
He said that J&K Bank’s Digital and Alternate Channels have successfully processed over 9 million transactions since Friday morning till Saturday 06 pm.
As per the data, Bank’s Mobile application MPay alone has processed over 7172059 successful transactions since Friday morning till Saturday 06 pm resulting in the transfer of money amounting to Rs 1036 Crores.
The ATMs have also witnessed huge customer footfall from Friday morning till Saturday evening dispensing Rs 307 Crores of cash in over 520280 successful transactions.
Besides, under the Bank’s UPI services, payments amounting to Rs 184 Cr have been made in 832861 transactions, while as, an amount of Rs 22.2 Crore has been transacted in purchases through PoS and e-Commerce channels of the Bank during the period in over 208278 successful transactions.
The data excludes the digital payment transactions made through NEFT and RTGS modes, he said.
He further said that since they were not been able to come up to the expectations of a section of valuable customers on Eid-ul-Fitr this year due to technical faults, however Bank has successfully updated its system which resulted record number of transactions and withdrawals this eid without any issue to customers.
Meanwhile customers across Kashmir valley expressed their satisfaction over haslefree services provided by J&K Banks as no outage reported anywhere on the eve of Eid.
"Although I was very apprehensive because of last Eid experience, but to my surprise mPay worked perfectly on the eve of this Eid", he said adding that J&K Bank has walked its talk this time, Ishtiyaq Sultan, owner of A R sweets said.
"M-Pay has eased our transaction hugely. I saw customers happily making payments during last few days without any issues" said a famed uptown bakery owner.
"Frankly saying, I didnt trust the assurances J&K Bank leadership made during their technology upgradation exercise, but I am happy to see them proving people like me wrong. Today I proudly say - my bank is the best bank", he said.
"I went to at least 5 times to different ATMs since Thursday, and these all were dispensing out cash without any hassles this time. J&K Bank has learned its lesson well", said a retired lecturer from shehr-e-khas.(KNS)
