Girls again outshine boys as JKBOSE declares class 12th results
70 percent students qualify exam
Govind Sharma JAMMU, June 30: Girls again outshined boys in class 12th annual regular examination of Summer Zone Session 2022, conducted by J&K Board of School Education (JKBOSE), the result of which was declared today.
A total of 53,939 candidates had appeared in the Examination out of which 37,536 have been declared qualified constituting 70% of the total examinees. Out of total examinees, 30,010 were boys and 23,929 were girls. Girls again excelled in the Examination by scoring a pass percentage of 75 % against 65 pass % of boys.
The first position has been shared by Bhargav Gupta of Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Boys Bakshi Nagar (Jammu), Deepti of Little Angels Higher Secondary School Kathua, Manpreet Kour of Shiksha Niketan Higher Secondary School Jeevan Nagar (Jammu), Shivam Sharma of Infant Jesus Higher Secondary School Hira Nagar, Shibeet Raina of KNIT Talab Tillo (Jammu), Simran Gupta of Little Angels Higher Secondary School Kathua and Tamana Gupta of Caramel Convent Higher Secondary School Jammu in Science stream by securing 99.6% marks.
In Commerce stream, Vanshika Misra of Dogra Higher Secondary School Shastri Nagar (Jammu) has excelled with 99.4% whereas in Arts stream, the first position has been shared by Ishika Khajuria of Government higher Secondary School Bharak (Reasi), Jiya Pathania of SP Higher Secondary School Jammu, Palak Mahajan of Vijay Higher Secondary School Udhampur, Shakshi Sharma of SP Higher Secondary School Jammu and Sunny Kumar of SP Senior Secondary School Bari Brahmana by securing 98.8% marks. In the faculty of Home Science, Ojaswani Mengi of GHSS Mubarak Mandi (Jammu) has bagged 1st position with 87.6% marks.
Prof Veena Pandita, Chairperson, JKBOSE expressed her satisfaction over the entire examination process and gratitude to Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, Advisor to LG, School Education Department, and B K Singh, Principal Secretary, School Education Department for support in hard times, Manisha Sarin Secretary JKBOSE, Dr Ravi Shankar Sharma, Director School Education Jammu, entire divisional and district level administrative machinery, whole team of the officers and officials of JKBOSE Jammu Division and teachers who have tirelessly contributed for the flawless conduct of examination followed by cooperation in evaluation.
“It is indeed heartening to see that JKBOSE has successfully completed the class-12 examination with the declaration of this result in which girls have maintained consistency in outshining boys. My congratulations to every successful examinee for fruition of their hard work and good wishes to those who could not make it this time; they should re-frame their reading strategies for better results,” she added.
The result is available online on the official website of JKBOSE www.jkbose.nic.in and on www.indiaresults.com as well. The candidates can also avail SMS facility by sending the text message to 5676750 by typing jkbose12 followed by a space and Roll No. e.g., “jkbose12 Roll No.”. Those who don’t have access to mobile phones or internet can get their results from their nearest JKBOSE office where the soft copies of result gazettes have been provided. The result is also available in the offices of the Deputy Commissioners of the concerned districts for the convenience of the students and general public.
In case of any query regarding this result, the students have been advised to avoid visiting the JKBOSE office Jammu physically. However, they can email their query at jssecrecy_jd@jkbose.co.in citing all the relevant details which shall be addressed after due processing at the earliest possible. The aggrieved students, if any, can contact their respective schools or the nearest JKBOSE Sub/Branch office.
It is pertinent to mention here that JKBOSE had given a concession of 30% in the syllabi to the students who had to attempt only 70% marks from the question paper which was treated as 100% for result computation as per Notification number F(Acad-C)relax/Syllabi/X/XI/XII/21 dated 13-08-2021 followed by notification number F(Acad-C)relax/Syllabi/X/XI/ XII/21 dated:- 27-08-2021.
