Admin makes face masks mandatory in public places in Kulgam
According to official data, only one positive COVID-19 case was reported on Tuesday
Authorities in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district have made face masks mandatory and, in this regard, issued an order as a result of the increase in the number of covid19 cases in Kashmir.
According to official data, only one positive COVID-19 case was reported on Tuesday. And the total active positive cases in the district are nine. However, so far, 119 COVID-19 patients have died in the district and 16215 COVID-19 patients have recovered.
To control the spread of the virus and save human lives the district administration issued an order in this regard.
“I, Dr. Bilal Mohiud-din Bhat, IAS District Magistrate Kulgam, by virtue of powers vested in me under section 34 of Disaster Management, Act-2005 and Epidemic Disease Act, 1897, do hereby order that wearing of Face Masks shall be compulsory at all public places in the District with immediate effect till further orders. Moreover, all District/Sectoral Officers shall ensure usage of face masks by all employees in the offices, ”(sic) reads the order.
