Nearly 23% of school boys in Srinagar are addicted to smoking : survey reveals
Srinagar, June 01 : According to a survey conducted on the prevalence of smoking among teenagers, 23% of school going boys in Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, are addicted to smoking.
The survey, based on 20 public and private schools, was conducted by the Department of Community Medicine, Government Medical College, Srinagar, from June 2015 to March 2017.
According to the survey, the majority of respondents (18.1%) started smoking between the ages of 14 and 15.
