Govt Formally Winds Up S&OS Department
Staff To Be Deployed To Other Departments
Srinagar, Jun 27 : Jammu and Kashmir on Monday formally winded up of Department of Stationery & Office Supplies, J&K. The decision was taken administrative council meeting on June 8.
“ Sanction is hereby accorded to the closure/winding-up of Jammu and Kashmir, Department of Stationery and Office Supplies, J&K,” reads a government order, a copy of which lies with GNS.
The employees of the winded-up department shall be deployed to the Government Departments as per need and shall be governed by their existing rules and regulations till their retirement from service, it said.
“ All fixed and movable assets of the winded-up Department at Jammu/Kashmir shall be utilized by other Government Departments depending upon their requirement,” it said, adding, “The liabilities, if any, pending against the Department, shall be referred to ARI & Trainings Department for clearance out of Government Accounts after thorough Verification.”
Also the official records shall be handed over to the ARI & Trainings Department for future correspondence and record, the order added. (GNS)
