The MoHFW has reduced the NEET PG cut-off by 15% and has further requested the NBE to declare the revised results at the earliest.
In a letter addressed to the National Board of Examination (NBE) executive director, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare(MoHFW), in consultation with the National Medical Council (NMC), asked for a reduction in the cut-off for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Post (Postgraduate) or NEET PG and further asked them to announce the revised results at the earliest.
The official letter reads, " After due discussion and deliberations, it has been decided by the MoHFW in consultation with NMC with prior approval from Hon'ble HFM to reduce the cut-off by 15 percentile across all categories."
CUT-OFF FOR DIFFERENT CATEGORY
The letter stated further that the reduction in cut-off will bring it to 35 percentile for the general category, 30 percentile for the PH (Genl) category and 25 percentile for the PH(Genl) category.
" The qualifying percentile for general category may be reduced to 35th percentile, for PH(Genl) to 30th percentile and for reserved category (SC/ST/OBC) be reduced to 25th percentile," reads the official letter.
