Take action against people who create fake API WhatsApp groups pages on social media : API to cyber cell.
Srinagar, DEC 20 : Some mischievous elements are continuously circulating fake and unfounded news items on social media sites and attributing it to news gathering agency .
The management of reiterates its appeal to authorities to take stern action against such elements.
This is not the first attempt by these elements to tarnish the image of which is known for putting the facts and clarity in news stories.
In a recent move, such elements have used WhatsApp groups to denigrate the image of and has posted several fake and unfounded news items, besides uploading video and pictures.
Earlier they created Facebook pages disseminating baseless news stories on the name of .
It has informed the cyber cell police and senior civil officials regarding such mischievous elements and their maligning work attributed to us.
Associated press of India management is reiterating its appeal to higher authorities to take stringent action against such elements and is hopeful that law enforcement agencies will identify the culprits at earliest.
