DC Anantnag Invokes Section 144 : Prohibits Any Strike by Employees
The District Magistrate of Anantnag, Dr. Piyush Singla on Monday issued orders under Section 144 of Cr PC prohibiting employees associated with essential services including electricity supply, water, etc to refrain from calling any strike in the South Kashmir district.
Dr. Singla in an order said that the employees must ensure that essential services are maintained/ provided uninterruptedly.
He said that all essential services are functioning normally in the district with only minor disruptions.
According to a press release, Dr. Singla carried inspections at various grid stations, receiving stations and feeders by concerned magistrates to ensure uninterrupted supply.
He further said that students from various ITIs and Polytechnic colleges have been kept on standby to meet any eventuality.
