Kashmir hospitals to resume routine health care activities soon
DHSK to carryout vaccination drive in all religious institutions
Srinagar, July 10 :
Following decline in the number of Covid-19 cases over the past one month, Directorate of Health Services Kashmir Chief has asked for the resumption of routine healthcare services in all the health institutions.
In an order, DHSK asked Medical Officers, Medical Superintendents and Block Medical Officers to resume OPDs, surgeries and other services.
The Directorate of Health Services Kashmir in a circular said that there has been a drastic decrease in the number of hospital admissions.
DHSK however said a few separate well-equipped oxygenated beds should be kept available for emergency purposes after following all SOPs laid down by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
The directorate said there is a need to vaccinate religious institutions to tackle any resurgence of Covid-19 cases in view of possible third wave “ A need has been felt to carry vaccination drive in Darul Ulooms, Orphanages, Asharams, Gurduwaras, Churches and Juvenile homes across Kashmir so that the staff as well as students in these religious institutions can be vaccinated well in time,” read the order.
DHSK has impressed upon all CMOs, Medical Superintendents and BMOs to carry out vaccination drives in all the religious institutions on a war footing basis.
The directorate has also requested all the Deputy Commissioners to furnish a list of religious institutions to CMOs so that these institutions are identified and vaccinated.
