7th pay commission latest news : Under the seventh pay commission, the central government has made many important announcements for 52 lakh central employees and 60 lakh pensioners in the last few days.
Some announcements were to be implemented from 1 July 2021, but officially it has not been implemented. In this article, we are going to tell you about five important announcements for 1.12 crore central employees and pensioners.
1. Minister of State for Finance Anurag Thakur had given a written statement in the Rajya Sabha that dearness allowance of central employees and pensioners would be restored from July 1.
For the time being it has been frozen. It has been frozen since 1 January 2021. So far no official announcement has been made by the government regarding the restoration.
The National Council of JCM, which has got recognition from the Government of India, said that the government is considering to restore it from September 2021. This council is constantly fighting for the Dearness Allowance restoration and arrears payment of the central employees.
House building advance benefit
2. If a central employee wants to build his house, then in June 2020, the Central Government had announced the House Building Advance.
The basic interest rate for HBA has been kept at 7.9 per cent and this scheme will be applicable till March 31, 2022. Keeping in mind the Seventh Pay Commission, the central government has updated the HBA guideline. Central employees will get the benefit of this.

3. Recently, the Central Government has extended the date of submission of Traveling Allowance claim. It has been increased from 60 days to 180 days.
For retirement, it will be applicable from 15 June 2021. This will greatly benefit the retiring central employees.

4. Giving the facility to 60 lakh pensioners, the government asked the pension disbursing banks to share the pension slips through email, SMS and WhatsApp along with a complete break-up. It has been started from 1 July 2021.
No delay in provisional family pension
5.7th pay commission pension benefit : Apart from this, the pension benefit has been simplified under the 7th Pay Commission.
Regarding this, it was said on behalf of the Department of Pension and Pensioners Welfare that provisional family pension would start getting the claim as soon as it is received.
The family pension will start as soon as the eligible family member submits the death certificate. Rest of the process will continue.
