Blind cricketers of Jammu crack J&K Bank exam
JAMMU APR 04 :
Four visually impaired cricketers namely Sahil, Abdul Raqib, Angrej Kumar and Ateeka of Cricket Association for Blind Jammu and Kashmir cracked J&K Bank Banking Associate Exam and were selected as Clerk in the J&K Bank and J&K Grameen Bank respectively.
Sahil, who attained 93 marks out of 100, while Abdul Raqib clinched 89.75 marks, have been selected as clerk in the J&K Bank, whereas Angrej Kumar and Ateeka, have been shortlisted in J&K Grameen Bank.
Ajay Kumar, general secretary of the Cricket Association for Blind Jammu and Kashmir (CABJ&K) congratulated all of them and wished them good luck for their new journey and said that it was result of their hard work.
" With this achievement, they will become the role model for other visually impaired candidates," he added.
Ajay Kumar also urged the society to come forward and encourage such specially abled children to grow, develop and achieve their dreams which is possible despite their physical impairments.
