who's Habba Khatoon
Habba Khatoon (1553–1605) is very popular for his creations in the literature and folk life of Kashmir.
She was beautiful of Bala and her real name was June. Born in Pampore, Habba was married to a farmer but his in-laws used to torture her a lot.
Habba, who had suffered from Chupachar Susral, used to put all his pain and anguish into poems and songs.
It is said that after hearing the song in his melodious voice, the King of Kashmir Yusuf Shah Chak became fascinated by him and made Habba his queen.
The king's love filled all the wounds of Habba and by reading the poems he wrote after becoming queen, it was clear how much the king Yusuf loved him. But there was still one more pain left in Habba life.
Mughal Emperor Akbar attacked Kashmir in the same day and took the Emperor Yusuf captive. Emperor Akbar took Yusuf first to Delhi and then to Bihar. Habba was greatly hurt by Yusuf's separation.
In the hope of parting with Joseph and meeting him again, Habba wrote many painful songs which are well liked among the people.
