Mother, son booked for cheating Govt Departments
JAMMU MAR 30 :
Janipur Police booked a woman and her son for cheating various Government Departments and other bodies.
As per police sources, a case under FIR Number 33/2021 under Sections 465, 468 and 420 IPC has been registered against Neha Chawla, wife of Surinder Chawla and his son Arjun Chawla.
According to the case, Arjun Chawla had created fake Aadhar Card of Neha Chawla and cheated various Government Departments including Department of Relief and Rehabilitation J&K, Indian Railways, etc.
On the complaint of Virender Chawla, son of Gobind Ram of Ambala Cantt Amritsar and directions of the court, the case has been registered by Janipur Police as mother-son duo had also cheated the complainant of Rs 9 lakh by giving false and fabricated statements in the court.
The lady had also taken free legal aid from the court by claiming herself as poor and indigent lady.
Investigation into the case is going on.
