In the last 15 days, the schools in Haryana have reported more than 11 Covid-19 cases among students. Most students have been found to be asymptomatic. 

The number of Covid-19 cases is on the rise again in Haryana as around 1189 students have tested positive for the virus across several schools in the state. 

The spike in Covid-19 cases in Haryana schools has been recorded in the past 15 days itself.

The state government has shown concern regarding the rise in the number of Covid-19 cases across schools and is yet to take a decision regarding the closure of schools in the state. 

Schools with lots of cases have already suspended physical classes for the time being.

Though over 1100 Covid-19 cases have been reported across Haryana, most of the students have been observed to be asymptomatic. 

Apart from educational institutes, the number of Covid-19 cases is on the rise once again in Haryana.

Closure of schools in Haryana
After the sudden spike in the Covid-19 cases across the student population in Haryana, the state government has said that the decision regarding the closure of schools will be taken after consulting the health department of the state.
 
The government of Haryana has also initiated counselling sessions for families whose wards have been tested Covid-19 positive in the past few days. 

The students who have tested positive are currently healthy and there have been no fatalities yet.

Many students and parents are urging the state government to close the educational institutes in the state for the safety of the children. 

The government is expected to announce its final decision regarding the situation soon.

The schools in Haryana had reopened from February 24 for nearly all the students, after being shut down for 11 months. 

The offline lessons for higher classes were resumed earlier in view of the upcoming board examinations in April and May.
