COVID19: KU deputes 10 scholars to assist SKIMS, GMC

Srinagar, Apr 11: Kashmir University has deputed 10 research scholars from different departments to Sheri Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences ( SKIMS) and Government Medical College ( GMC) Srinagar to assist health authorities in the fight against coronavirus. The varsity has deputed seven research scholars from Biochemistry department to GMC Srinagar and SKIMS while as other three scholars deputed to the hospitals include one each from microbiology, CORD and Bio- resource departments. The University has already handed over around five machines to SKIMS and GMC Srinagar which include RT- qPCR ( Applied bio system s 7500), two high speed refrigerated centrifuges ( Ependroff, 5418), benchmark heat block and Votex Machine.
